B2C can be defined as the buying and selling of good or services between a business and a consumer through a website or mobile application. It refers to a way or medium which one can get goods or services involving a business and consumer only(Turban 2019).
Buiness to Business (B2B)
B2B e-commerce refers to the buying and selling of goods or services directly between two businesses through an electronic platform, such as a supplier's website. This type of transaction can take many forms, such as supplier relationships, partnership agreements, or wholesale purchases are significant with millions of businesses around the world relying on one another for various parts of their operations(O'Brien and Marakas, 2017).Consumer to Consumer(C2C)
As suggested by Turban et al.,2019, C2C e-commerce refers to the buying and selling of goods or services between individual consumers through an electronic platform, such as an online marketplace or social media platform. This type of transaction take place on online marketplaces such as Craigslist, eBay, and Facebook Marketplace, where individuals can buy and sell new or second-hand goods directly with one another. C2C platforms often assist these transactions with features such as messaging systems, payment processing, and dispute resolution services. The C2C market has grown significantly with the rise of e-commerce and platforms that allow individuals to buy and sell goods and services.
Government to consumer (G2C)
G2C refers to transactions and interactions between
governments (federal, state, or local level) and individual citizens. These
transactions might include taxes, voting procedures, passport or visa
applications, and driver's license renewals(Laudon and Traver, 2018). Governments often use online
portals or websites to provide services and information to citizens, such as
applying for permits, accessing public records, and paying bills. G2C
transactions are designed to streamline government services and make them more
accessible and efficient for citizens.
Government to Business (G2B)
G2B stands for "government to business," which refers to transactions or interactions between government agencies and private sector businesses. These transactions might include bidding on government contracts, licensing and permits, tax compliance, and regulation. Government agencies at the national, state, or local level may provide public services and resources to businesses, such as economic development incentives, grant programs, or employment and training services. G2B interactions aim to make these services more accessible to businesses and encourage economic growth and development.(Turban et al.,2019)
